Companies take a pledge against plastic pollution


Companies are taking a pledge to fight against plastic pollution by promising to eliminate single-use packaging through smarter design. The UK plastics pact, as it is called, sees 40 companies such as Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble or the supermarket chain Asda, join forces with the government and trade associations.

One of the promises made by the companies that joined the pact is to make 100% of plastic packaging ready for recycling or composting by 2025.
